Kelly Park is less than 30 miles away from Orlando, but to me, it feels like I’m in a different world. The spring and park is surrounded by beautiful, peaceful nature and lots of Florida Wildlife.
Spend a hot summer day with family and friends tubing and swimming at Kelly Rock Springs in Apopka.
2 de sept. de 2023 · There is hiking, camping, swimming and more. Rock Springs is the name of the Florida spring which has headwaters in Kelly Park. Kelly Park also has a popular Rock Springs Run which starts at the headwaters of Rock Springs and then goes for around 30 minutes until you reach the end area.
This natural reserve in central Florida is a great spot for a refreshing and relaxing day trip. Here, you can go horseback riding, hike, or bike across 17 miles of trails. Water activities are Rock Springs Run's crown jewel.
Welcome to Rock Springs Run State Reserve. Sand pine scrub and pine flatwoods make this reserve a refuge of natural beauty. Visitors can enjoy bicycling, hiking or horseback riding along 17 miles of trails. Primitive campsites on Rock Springs Run and the Wekiva River are accessible by canoe only. Equestrian camping facilities are available.
Kelly Park is a beautiful place to explore for a day, and located inside of the park is the real gem: Rock Springs. This is such a great experience, the crystal clear water is 68 degrees which can seem really cold but its refreshing.
