Ready Player One. Mechagodzilla was the last and final boss of the game. Mechagodzilla fights and heavily damages Iron Giant using his flame thrower before destroying Parzival's DeLorean - pursuing both Parzival and Art3mis as Sorrento attempts to crush them.

While in the novel of Ready Player One Mechagodzilla fights against Ultraman, in the film (due to licensing issues) the kaiju fights against the Iron Giant and the RX-78-2 Gundam instead. Mechagodzilla reappears in the 2021 film MonsterVerse movie Godzilla vs. Kong.
