The Vaselines es una banda de rock alternativo escocesa de Glasgow, Escocia. Formada en 1986, la banda fue originalmente un dúo entre sus compositores Eugene Kelly y Frances McKee, pero más tarde se unió James Seenan y el hermano de Eugene, Charlie Kelly en el bajo y batería respectivamente de la banda Secession. 16 de sept. de 2014 · When The Vaselines return to the stage to promote the album next month they’ll be accompanied by a new look band. Michael McGaughrin remains on drums, but Stevie Jackson and Bob Kildea, who have played with the group since they reformed, are now back on full-time duty with Belle and Sebastian.
At one point, both Franz Ferdinand singer Alex Kapranos and drummer Paul Thomson were members of the group. 1990s' drummer Michael McGaughrin and bassist Dino Bardot were also in Glasgow band V-Twin, signed to Domino Records, before 1990s were formed.
V-Twin were a rock band formed in 1997, comprising Jason MacPhail (vocals) and Michael McGaughrin (drums), with a number of lineups including other musicians, before bass player, Bobby Kildea, and guitarist, Bardot became permanent members. [3]
14 de dic. de 2007 · Two years ago he formed the band 1990s a mix of The Rolling Stones, Motown soul and power-pop with Michael McGaughrin of V-Twin and Jamie McMorrow, first and last Yummy Fur bassist, (recently replaced by V-Twin’s Donald ‘Dino’ Bardot).
The Vaselines ca. 2010 is Eugene and Frances with guest musicians Stevie Jackson and Bob Kildea from Belle & Sebastian on guitar and bass, and Michael McGaughrin from the 1990s on drums. It may have taken The Vaselines 20 years to get round to making this baby, but it was worth the wait—bringing their solo careers to a climax.
