Allegheny College is a private liberal arts college in Meadville, Pennsylvania. Founded in 1815, Allegheny is the oldest college in continuous existence under the same name west of the Allegheny Mountains.
At Allegheny College, our students combine — and redefine — their interests. They expand their concentrations beyond one academic division, developing the big-picture, critical thinking that is in high demand in today’s global marketplace.
You won’t be molded into just a major at Allegheny. To offer students a variety of perspectives, each program at Allegheny belongs to one of six divisions. After first exploring several interests, you will choose your major at the end of your sophomore year.
