Michael George Gibbins (12 de marzo de 1949-4 de octubre de 2005) fue un músico británico, más notable por haber sido el baterista de Badfinger . Primeros años. Mike Gibbins was born on 12 March 1949 in Swansea, Wales. He began playing drums at age 14, and joined his first band, "The Club 4" in the early 1960s. He played around South Wales for a time with a group called "The Misfits" before auditioning for the rival Welsh band The Iveys in 1964.

En 1965 Mike Gibbins pasó a ser el baterista del grupo, que comenzó a ganar notoriedad, por lo que algunos sellos discográficos comenzaron a interesarse en ellos. En 1967 Jenkins dejó el grupo y fue reemplazado por Tom Evans .
