Maybe I’m just getting easier to please as I get older, or maybe it helped having rock-bottom expectations, but Amazon’s jukebox musical “Cinderella” was fun; I laughed and found myself singing along. It was exactly what I needed.

22 de may. de 2023 · Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, The Lion King (Hamlet), The Hunchback of Notre Dame. Looking at it through a modern viewing lens it might not seem that much like the horror we are used to but to the people of 500 years ago this was truly horrific.
Cinderella is an exquisite reincarnation of Snow White, embodying the same sympathy and grace, and with the same rapport with animals (particularly the chateau's many mice, whom she names and dresses herself). Like Snow White, it's easy to feel protective of her right away.
