I want to give him a shout out for the good times we shared and his work on the projects we did together. We met in the 60s, when he was with the "Sopwith Camel." We got a hit with "Hello Hello."
Norman Mayell Sopwith Camel Miraculous Hump Returns from the Moon. Born in Chicago, Illinois; began playing with a Dixeland band called the Vesteens at 16; has played with Muddy Waters, Lightnin' Hopkins and Mike Bloomfield; studied Flamenco while in college at the University of Hawaii. Posteriormente se incorporaron el bajista Martin Beard, el guitarra William Sievers y el batería Norman Mayell, saliendo del grupo Albin y Kasten. En el año 1967 firmaron por el sello Kama Sutra y grabaron el sencillo “Hello Hello” (cara B “Treadin'”), estupendo tema pop de ambiente cabaretero que consiguió llegar al puesto 26.
