The International 2018 was the concluding tournament of the 2017-18 season of Dota Pro Circuit and the eighth annual edition of The International. The tournament was held on Canadian soil for the first time, at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, Canada. For the first time, a point system based on official sponsored Majors and Minors were used to determine invites to The International.
Format. Upper Bracket. Top four teams in each group of Group Stage start in the Upper Bracket. All Upper Bracket games are Bo3. Lower Bracket. 5th-8th placed teams in each group of Group Stage start in the Lower Bracket. First round is played in a Bo1 then all matches are played in a Bo3. Grand Final.

The International Dota 2 Championships was held in Seattle, Washington. This tournament was the fourth edition of The International, and it was the third consecutive year that the tournament had been hosted in Seattle. Unlike the previous two years, the tournament was held at the KeyArena, a multi-purpose arena in Seattle Center with a total seating capacity of over 17,000.
