Guts has only gotten stronger. So I kinda came to the realization with the inclusion of the Berserk Armor that Berserk is essentially a werewolf story. So if anything, I would imagine Apostle Guts being unable to control when he changes into his demon form.

Definitely up there on the apostle scale. At least on the level as Ganishka. But considering he can go toe-to-toe with Zodd in his true form and even defeated Ganishka at the shipyard as a mere human (with the help of Zodd of course), I personally believe he would be second only to the God Hand. But yeah, Guts becoming an apostle would be lame.
