David Lynn Thomas (born 1953) is an American singer, songwriter and musician, now based in the UK. He was one of the founding members of the short-lived proto-punkers Rocket from the Tombs (1974–1975), in which he played under the moniker "Crocus Behemoth," and of post-punk group Pere Ubu (1975–present, intermittently). He has also released several solo albums.
Rocket from the Tombs Follow Artist + A legendary Cleveland proto-punk band that spawned Pere Ubu and the Dead Boys, they flamed out in 1975 only to re-emerge in 2003.

24 de oct. de 2021 · Can you elaborate the formation of Rocket from the Tombs? In the fall of 1974, Peter came to my apartment to ask if I would be interested in joining a band with him and David. I had known that Peter had joined Rocket From The Tombs recently and now he was telling me that he and David wanted to take the band in a different direction than they had been on.
Rocket From The Tombs Becomes Pere Ubu Nick Amster and Howard Kramer, formerly of the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame, facilitated the return of the multitrack tapes of the 30 Seconds Over Tokyo sessions at Audio Recording from 1975. We are very grateful. Sadly, Nick Amster passed away recently.
