8 de dic. de 2023 · Guns N’ Roses have released a new single, “The General.” The slow-building, guitar-led song marks the rock band’s second track of 2023 following “Perhaps,” which dropped in August.
Guns N' Roses is an American hard rock band from Los Angeles, California, formed in March 1985 when local bands Hollywood Rose and L.A. Guns merged. When they signed to Geffen Records in 1986, the band's "classic lineup" consisted of vocalist Axl Rose, lead guitarist Slash, rhythm guitarist Izzy Stradlin, bassist Duff McKagan, and drummer Steven Adler.

The track is a B-Side to their previously released single, “Perhaps. “ Both songs will be available on the 7″ vinyl version through Geffen, which ships tomorrow to fans who pre-ordered. They are the band’s only new pieces of recorded material in the last 15 years.

25 de ene. de 2024 · The band have been playing the song live on tour, so it is not a completely new piece (and by all accounts has had a lengthy gestation!), but the accompanying video is a new visual spectacle combining live footage and AI technology. Musically, the song is slow and pulsing. It broods, simmers and occasionally bursts into life.
