Started in 1979 by Joan Jett and producer/songwriter Kenny Laguna, the original Blackhearts consisted of Eric Ambel (lead guitar), Gary Ryan (bass), and Danny Furious (drums). This version was issued concurrently with the original. See Joan Jett & The Blackhearts - Album for the initial pressing. Copies given to radio stations were imprinted with a rectangular gold stamp on the front cover that reads "Joan Jett And The Blackhearts Album Promotional Copy".
Individually hand-numbered in white heart on bottom right of rear sleeve. In addition to the album and 6 bonus tracks, the CD contains a 3-page PDF of album lyrics and live videos (MOV files) of performances of Coney Island Whitefish, Handyman & Star Star.
