Saunders Terrell (October 24, 1911 – March 11, 1986), [1] known as Sonny Terry, was an American Piedmont blues and folk musician, [2] who was known for his energetic blues harmonica style, which frequently included vocal whoops and hollers and occasionally imitations of trains and fox hunts.
The duo was born in 1999 and for more than 20 years they have often been compared to Sony Terry and Brownie McGhee. In 2014 the Puertas brothers won the first prize in the competition organised by the PBPS (Piedmont Blues Preservation Society) in Greensboro, North Carolina (USA), home of the Piedmont and the harmonica player Sonny Terry.
