Paul Lafargue, né le 15 janvier 1842 à Santiago de Cuba et mort le 25 novembre 1911 à Draveil , est un journaliste, économiste, essayiste, écrivain et homme politique socialiste français. Époux de Laura Marx et ainsi gendre de Karl Marx, il est surtout connu pour son essai Le Droit à la paresse.
After the death of his wife, Marx’s life was a succession of physical and moral sufferings which he bore with great fortitude. They were aggravated by the sudden death of his eldest daughter, Mrs. Longuet, a year later. He was broken, never to recover. He died at his desk on March 14, 1883, at the age of sixty-four.
