9 de mar. de 2021 · ECLAS wish es to mark the passing of noted Templeton Prize laureate, theoretical physicist and Anglican priest, the Reverend Canon Dr John C Polkinghorne. He die d on March 9, 2021 in Cambridge, aged 90. A Fellow of the Royal Society, Polkinghorne was Professor of Theoretical Physics at the Univ ersity of Cambridge until 1979 and ordained as an Anglican priest in 1982.
Polkinghorne entered Trinity College, Cambridge, in October 1949. Among his contemporaries reading mathematics were Michael Atiyah and James Mackay.
