Hiram Bullock was raised in Osaka (Japan) and immigrated to America at age 2. He was a piano student at the Peabody Conservatory of Music, Baltimore, Maryland. His first recital was at the age of 6. At the age of 11, he learned how to play the saxophone and as a teenager, he began playing bass guitar in junior high school bands.
