1 de may. de 2009 · Cris Williamson, a pioneering folk singer/songwriter and activist, visited Berklee for a three-day residency. Williamson was at the forefront of the women's music movement, which began in the early 1970s. Her landmark album, The Changer and the Changed, sold more than 500,000 copies and broke new ground by openly exploring lesbian themes.
2024 Tour Dates. Currently, I am continuing my tour in the virtual realm, sending workshops and concerts from my home to yours. Also, all things being safe, I'll be adding live-and-in-peson engagements to my schedule as life permits. And, until futher notice, most live shows will be masked or outdoor shows.

Decades before indie labels were the norm, and years before women had any real access to the industry, Cris Williamson was busy changing the face of popular music. In 1975, the twenty-something former schoolteacher recorded The Changer And The Changed, for her brainchild, Olivia Records. the first woman-owned woman-focused record company.
