Movietone (Planet, 1996) is still under the influence of the Velvet Underground (Orange, Late July, Heatwave Pavement, Mono Valley, Coastal Lagoon, Darkness Blue Glow) and of the shoegazers (Change In Her Opera, Alkaline Eyes, Darkness Blue Glow). Day And Night (Drag City, 1997) displays more autonomy.
