Team Sleep. American band founded around 1994 in Sacramento by Chino Moreno (Deftones) and his friend, guitarist Todd Wilkinson. Later, other musicians joined in: CrookOne (friend of Deftones turntablist Frank Delgado), drummer Zach Hill (Hella,Death Grips) and bassist Rick Verrett (Tinfed).
This project ended up becoming Team Sleep, a band made up of vocalist Moreno, turntablist DJ Crook, and guitarist Todd Wilkinson. Wilkinson was a childhood friend of Moreno's, and in fact had never played on an album before. The group tried to blend the moody heaviness of Moreno's other group with the heady beats of Massive Attack.
Team Sleep is an American experimental alternative rock/post-rock group led by singer/guitarist Chino Moreno. Moreno is better known for fronting the Sacramento-based alternative metal band Deftones.
