The Band war eine kanadisch-US-amerikanische Rockband, die von 1967 bis 1976 sowie nach ihrer Neugründung von 1983 bis 1999 bestand.. Die Formation ging aus den Hawks hervor und war zunächst die elektrisch verstärkte Begleitband von Bob Dylan, bevor sie ab 1968 selbst sieben Studioalben veröffentlichten.
