Test Icicles was een Britse Dance Punk band. Ze werd in 2004 opgericht door Sam Mehran en Rory Attwell. Devonte Hynes voegde zich later bij het tweetal. De band was vooral geïnspireerd door indierock, maar hun muziek bevat ook invloeden van punk, metal en hiphop. Live speelde de band mee met een backingtrack die op een iPod stond.

Test Icicles were a short-lived rock band that formed in England, primarily influenced by post-hardcore, dance-punk and indie rock but containing musical elements from a variety of genres. The band was formed in 2004 by Rory Attwell and Sam Mehran, who were later joined by Devonte Hynes. Hynes and Mehran were both 18 years old at the time of the band's inception.
30 de jul. de 2018 · Test Icicles split in 2006, and Mehran began recording dreamier pop songs under aliases including Matrix Metals, the Sweethearts, and, most prominently, Outer Limits Recordings (later Outer Limitz).
