13 de jul. de 2023 · John Herschel Glenn Jr. was born July 18, 1921, in Cambridge, Ohio. He attended primary and secondary schools in New Concord, Ohio. He received a bachelor of science degree in engineering from Muskingum College in New Concord. Muskingum College is among nine colleges or universities that subsequently awarded him honorary doctoral degrees.
John Glen MP was appointed Paymaster General and Minister for the Cabinet Office on 13 November 2023. He was previously Chief Secretary to the Treasury between 25 October 2022 and 13 November 2023.
John Philip Glen (born 1 April 1974) is a British politician and former management consultant who has served as Minister for the Cabinet Office and Paymaster General since November 2023. A member of the Conservative Party, he has been Member of Parliament (MP) for Salisbury in Wiltshire since 2010.

16 de feb. de 2012 · NASA Glenn’s Multiple Axis Space Test Inertia Facility, or Gimbal Rig, was one of the many facilities where the seven astronauts trained for their missions. After three years of training, John Glenn rocketed into space aboard the Mercury capsule Friendship 7. He became the third American in space and the first to orbit Earth.
