Gabriel Yared est un compositeur et arrangeur français d'origine libanaise né le 7 octobre 1949 à Beyrouth, au Liban. Il écrit de la musique de films depuis le début des années 1980. En 1993 , il reçoit le César de la meilleure musique de film pour L'Amant , et en 1997 , il obtient l' Oscar de la meilleure musique de film pour Le Patient anglais .
