15 de abr. de 2020 · Fred Wallace Haise Jr. was born in the Mississippi coastal town of Biloxi in November 1933. At the time, the city boasted little more than 15,000 residents, before the mini-population boom that would come with the arrival of World War II and Keesler Air Force Base. Haise attended local schools – Gorenflo Elementary School and Biloxi High School.

Fred Wallace Haise, Jr. (* 14.November 1933 in Biloxi, Mississippi) ist ein ehemaliger US-amerikanischer Astronaut.. Sein einziger Weltraumflug verlief ohne den erhofften Erfolg: Aufgrund einer Panne mit Apollo 13 auf dem Weg zum Mond musste die geplante Mondlandung entfallen. Es gelang jedoch, die Besatzung gesund und unversehrt zur Erde zurückzubringen.
