26 de ene. de 2016 · On September 17, 1970, Jimi Hendrix with in London his German girlfriend, the former ice-skating teacher Monika Dannemann. She had rented rooms at the Samarkand, a self-catering apartment hotel in Notting Hill. After a day out at Kensington Market and the Cumberland Hotel, Jimi and Monika took tea in the garden behind her flat.
These photos were taken by Monika Dannemann on September 17th 1970; the day before he died.
He died on 18 September 1970. Monika Dannemann had been his fiancee for nearly two years; she was with him when he died The Inner World of Jimi Hendrix is Monika's tribute to her lost love: a beautifully designed, exquisitely executed gallery of her original oil paintings, inspired by Jimi's songs, and reflecting his spirit.
