Lange em 2011. Jessica Lange morava em Nova Iorque e trabalhava como modelo quando o produtor Dino De Laurentiis a convidou para o principal papel feminino do filme King Kong. Como as críticas a sua atuação não foram muito favoráveis, ficou três anos afastada das telas. Retornou em 1979, e aceitou um pequeno papel em All That Jazz.
