He is probably best known for his BAFTA-nominated role as Lord Andrew Lindsay in the 1981 British film Chariots of Fire, and for his role as Dr. Tom Latimer in the British TV comedy series Don't Wait Up. He portrayed the role of Lewis Archer in Coronation Street from 2009 to 2010.

  7. Born in London in 1951, Nigel Havers attended the Arts Educational School despite family tradition of attending Eton. He later went on to work for the Prospect Theatre Company. Since 2007, Havers has appeared in many pantomime roles. He started his pantomime career in Cinderella at the Richmond Theatre where he played Baron Hardup.
