Sotigui Kouyaté , considerado un referente de la cultura africana en Europa y América, fue un griot, actor, director, narrador, músico y futbolista de relevancia internacional del África Occidental. Primer actor de Burkina Faso, fue el padre del director Dani Kouyaté que lo dirigió en el film Keïta, l’héritage du griot y del actor y narrador Hassane Kassi Kouyaté .
Sotigui Kouyaté. Actor: Little Senegal. Sotigui Kouyaté was born on 19 July 1936 in Bamako, Mali. He was an actor and composer, known for Little Senegal (2000), Dirty Pretty Things (2002) and London River (2009). He was married to Ester Marty. He died on 17 April 2010 in Paris, France.
One such artist who does the art form justice is the French artist Bernard Pras. His works are composed using anamorphosis and assemblage, with the use of distorted projection to create an image seemingly true from only a certain angle. This, his latest piece titled Sotigui Kouyaté, is created from objects found around the assembly site.
