22 de dic. de 2020 · Bolaji Badejo was a Nigerian visual artist and actor who played the role of the Alien in Ridley Scott’s 1979 film Alien, his only film role. Born in Lagos in 1953, Bolaji Badejo was the son of the director general of the Nigerian Broadcasting Corporation and a welfare administrator.

Bolaji had taken several movement classes for the role. In the end, less than half of the Alien's performance was actually Bolaji in the suit. Bolaji was chosen for his extremely slender and tall physique, which you can see clearly in this footage where he's only wearing briefs and a mock Alien head.
7 de mar. de 2016 · Back in the day when man-in-suit effects were still the industry standard, Bolaji Badejo was discovered by casting agent Peter Ardram in a pub in London. Given Badejo’s long, slender build, Ardram thought he matched what director Ridley Scott was looking for and might be a good fit for the film.
