He attended Edge End High School, Nelson, Lancashire, followed by Blackpool Drama College at 16 and the Drama Centre, London, at 19. John Ronald Simm (Leeds, 10 juli 1970) is een Britse acteur en muzikant. Hij is het best bekend van zijn rollen in de BBC-series Life on Mars (Sam Tyler) en Doctor Who (The Master).
