He spent nearly 24 years at Microsoft, and was the Executive Vice President of Microsoft’s Artificial Intelligence and Research Group until his departure in February 2020.
Harry Shum Jr. (born April 28, 1982) is a Costa Rican-American actor, singer, dancer, and choreographer. He is best known for his roles as Mike Chang on the Fox television series Glee (2009–15) and as Magnus Bane on the Freeform television series Shadowhunters (2016–19). He was nominated for four Screen Actors Guild Awards for his performance in Glee, winning once.

Dr Harry Shum is Executive Vice President of Microsoft’s Artificial Intelligence and Research group. Dr Shum studied at the University of Hong Kong, earned an MPhil degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering in 1991, and was a Swire Scholar at Robert Black College. He was conferred a PhD in robotics from Carnegie Mellon University in 1996.
