In the past students have very much enjoyed chatting with Toby and have gained much from his insight and experience Toby is a Grey alumnus and a supporter of the College, Durham University and its students, graduating in 1972.

I have been in the role of Assistant Principal at Grey College since January 2021 and feel both privileged and lucky to be part of the Grey family.. I originally worked clinically in the NHS before moving into education and have lectured in HE since 1996.
Grey College was founded in 1959 as part of the University’s drive to expand its student population which in 1951 stood at 1,150 (compared to 19,500 in 2019-20). Junior Common Room (JCR) Our undergraduate Junior Common Room is a self-governing, student-run charity. It is the largest common room, comprising around 1,100 students. The JCR helps organise the Induction Week for new students, runs many sports and societies, provides arts provision and organises many of the events in College.
College Facilities. Alongside the University facilities Grey College has a great set of its own: Four accommodation blocks. A dining hall for normal and formal meals. A large college lawn. College tennis court. Toastie bar and college shop. Junior Common Room – with TV, Pool and Table Tennis. TV Room.
