Born 12 August 1943 in Manhattan, New York City, USA. In 1957 she formed the girl group The Ronettes with her elder sister Estelle Bennett and cousin Nedra Talley.She fronted the group while record producer Phil Spector produced the majority of their recording output. The two were married in 1968 and separated in 1972, though she continued using Spector as a stage name for herself.
