Peter Kater is a prolific pianist and composer known for his scores for television, film, and theater, as well as for his own recordings of light jazz and instrumental new age music. He became widely established in the 1980s and '90s, recording numerous albums for the Colorado-based Silver Wave label, several of which were acclaimed collaborations with Native American flutist R. Carlos Nakai.

9 de feb. de 2007 · Then after taking it home and listening to it in it's entirety I can say the CD Pursuit of Happiness by Peter Kater is a wonderful CD. I'm mainly a Smooth Jazz listener. I've discovered that some of the New Age Artists like Peter Kater play music that sounds very similiar to some of the music I'm used to hearing on my Smooth Jazz CDs.
The Pursuit of Happyness is a 2006 American biographical drama film directed by Gabriele Muccino and starring Will Smith as Chris Gardner, a homeless salesman.Smith's son Jaden Smith co-stars, making his film debut as Gardner's son, Christopher Jr. The screenplay by Steven Conrad is based on the best-selling 2006 memoir of the same name written by Gardner with Quincy Troupe.
