In Time Traders, it seemed that she was writing with a sequel in mind, and it was mainly a coming-of-age story about Ross Murdock, with too little Science Fiction and too much jungle fighting. In Galactic Derelict, the four main characters go though several adventures, but I never get a sense that any of them wouldn't make it through.
