  1. Quite rare Hazlewood LP originally only released in Sweden were he lived in the beginning of the 70´s. Also rare in the sense that it´s quite funky with intense horn arrangements, groovy baselines and hard hitting drumming. Especially "You look like a Lady" is a floor filler. Interesting and a bit odd in the Hazlewood discography.

  6. 11 de ene. de 2017 · Once 13 was stripped of its origins, it became a Hazlewood record, Marks’ fingerprints ably erased by the mustachioed master’s indelible sound. 13 arrived on the heels of Hazlewood’s most successful artistic period—a run from 1970 through ‘72 when he released Cowboy in Sweden, Requiem for an Almost Lady, and Nancy & Lee Again. 13 ...

  7. The album 13 was never supposed to be a Lee Hazlewood album. It is perhaps the strangest record in one of the most varied discographies in music. The Bombastic brass heavy funk, deep blues and soul paired with Hazlewood’s subterranean baritone would be best enjoyed with a tall Chivas in an off-strip seedy Vegas lounge.
