With inspiration from his everyday life, Jeff developed characters and storylines through song to take listeners on a musical journey into his world.

"Eldorado" ist die bis dato wohl umfangreichste Abhandlung über das musikalische Schaffen von Jeff Lynne. Der vorliegende erste Band (basierend auf mehr als 220 DinA4-Seiten) beschäftigt sich zunächst mit Lynnes frühen Jahren als Mitglied der Underground-Lieblinge Idle Race und von The Move.
Early life. Lynne was born in Erdington, Birmingham, England, [citation needed] to Nancy and Philip Lynne, and grew up nearby in Shard End, Birmingham, where he attended Alderlea Boys' Secondary School. As a native of Birmingham, he still has his Brummie accent. His father bought him his first guitar, an acoustic instrument, for £2. He was still playing it as of 2012.
