1 de nov. de 2006 · When you listen to Swell Maps the mind takes you back a long way. This bunch of songs confirms the Swell Maps as one of the better bands from that wave of punk. Sure, they may have started out glam, but Swell Maps went down a different route. The songs here I was not familiar with except the singles "Read About Seymour," "Dresden Style."

I saw Swell Maps live, that's how. The other day I stumbled across an ad online via the Alive/Total Energy label for the new Maps compilation called International Rescue; the following blurb from Mr. Moore adorned its left side: "The first Swell Maps single I bought ("Let's Build A Car") still to this day gives me a soul scorched buzz'n'rush.
