Then they went to the winter Olympics, where the crowds cheered their pluck, if not their speed.

De film is losjes gebaseerd op de deelname van een Jamaicaans bobsleeteam aan de Olympische Spelen van 1988 in Calgary (zie Jamaica op de Olympische Winterspelen 1988)..
