Applying to Marin Academy begins by creating an account on Ravenna, our web-based application site. If you haven’t already done so, create an account in Ravenna, and complete a student profile. When you are on your dashboard, click on the “Apply to a school” button, which will lead you to the School Directory.
Marin Academy’s Open House offers prospective families an opportunity to select and participate in class experiences taught by MA faculty that most interest you, learn about the school’s signature programs and student life, and connect directly with members of the community. Information for 25-26 admissions coming soon.

Marin Academy has a talented and dynamic staff devoted to excellence in education. More than half of MA’s teachers hold advanced degrees, and many are leading practitioners in their fields including the arts, academic research, and public service. The mission of Marin Academy asks us to “prepare students for the responsibilities posed by education in a democratic society.” That charge shapes not only the content of the courses we teach in the history department, but also the strategies and methods we use to guide our students in the exploration of the past and its connections to the present.
At Marin Academy, we are committed to experiential education. We provide our students with a solid foundation in traditional academic subjects in a college-preparatory program, and we believe that healthy, challenging experiences both inside and outside the classroom are essential for taking adolescents to and beyond intellectual and theoretical knowledge.
Marin Academy offers 16 interscholastic sports: Baseball, Basketball, Cross Country, Cycling, Dance, Field Hockey, Golf, Lacrosse, Sailing, Soccer, Softball, Swimming, Tennis, Track and Field, Volleyball and Water Polo. Marin Academy is ranked as one of the top 20% of private schools in California for most sports offered.
