Eric Marienthal was born on December 19, 1957, in Sacramento, California, to Robert Marienthal, an insurance salesman, but moved to San Mateo when he was two years old. [3] He has credited his enthusiasm for music on being taught music while in school, and picked up the saxophone in the fourth grade after he thought it looked "pretty cool".
Historial. Estudió en el Berklee College of Music, a partir de 1976. [1] Marienthal comenzó su carrera profesional, en 1980, con el trompetista de jazz de Nueva Orleans, Al Hirt. [2] Tras regresar a Los Ángeles, Eric entró a formar parte de la banda de jazz rock, Chick Corea Elektric Band. [2] Grabó 6 CDs con esta banda, dos de los cuales fueron Premios Grammy.
