Scott Weinrich. Scott Weinrich is a Maryland, USA based guitarist and vocalist, born Sept. 29, 1960 in Rockville, Maryland. He's better known by his nickname, "Wino". He began playing in his teens in the 1970s when he formed the band Warhorse with his friend, Mark Laue. Warhorse eventually evolved into The Obsessed, which lasted until 1985.
19 de jul. de 2021 · Scott "Wino" Weinrich has dealt the doom for decades via a variety of bands, including Saint Vitus, Spirit Caravan, and, especially, The Obsessed. As has been the case for the rest of the world, Wino has been forced off the road since early 2020, but will be making up for lost time in the summer of 2021 when The Obsessed hit the road with The Skull in the US.
The distinctive vocals and guitar wizardry of founder and driving force Scott “Wino” Weinrich has left a mark on the world of heavy music that continues to inspire. The Obsessed gained momentum in the Baltimore/DC area of the USA in the early to mid 1980’s during the height of the hardcore punk movement.

I also doubt he'd have thought Americana Highways would be doing an interview with him as well. But here we are.
