Mesopotamia is an EP by American new wave band the B-52's, released in 1982.It was produced by David Byrne of Talking Heads and was originally planned to be the band's third studio album.Due to conflicts with Byrne and record label pressure, recording sessions were aborted prematurely and only six of ten songs to be completed were released.

6 de may. de 2023 · David Byrne is brought in to produce, but the band is only able to complete six songs, which gets issued as a “mini-album” called Mesopotamia. While the album is considered a failure at the time, and many of the songs sound unfinished, it does contain seeds of greatness, particularly the title track, which is one of the best songs the band ever made.
