We talk a lot about character at Barking Abbey and it is the blood that runs through our veins. 09 May 2024. On Wednesday 8th May Barking Abbey Football Academy made history by being crowned National Champions in both the girls and boys English Schools FA Super Cup! The boys played Hartpury College and won 1-0. The girls played Thomas Telford School and went from 0-2 down to take it to 2-2 and then won on penalties!
Barking Abbey students are treated to a range of genres and writers, both fiction and non- fiction, to improve their own reading skills and help to develop their writing. We believe our curriculum encourages the students to want to read independently outside of the classroom as this is a key to knowledge and success in our subject.
