'Hard Volume' was recorded in 1988 in a Los Angeles studio when the band were fresh from a tour and you can tell they still had their sh t totally together. In the liner notes Rollins concedes that the production sounds a little light but that was due to the studio that they used, at the time, being geared up more for Rap than Heavy Rock.
