20 de ene. de 2024 · Bassist Jim Rodford, who kept the bottom end solid and melodic in Argent, The Kinks and The Zombies, died January 20, 2018, after falling down stairs. Rodford, 76, was the older cousin of Zombies keyboardist and Argent leader Rod Argent. In the late 1950s and early 1960s Rodford was a member of the St. Albans group the Bluetones.

Rodford had just returned home to The UK after a short our of Florida with The Zombies. His final performance was on January 14 at the 30a Songwriters Festival in Miramar Beach, Florida.

Rodford in 1979. James Walter "Jim" Rodford (7 July 1941 – 20 January 2018) was an English musician and singer. Rodford was born in Hertfordshire, England. Rodford played bass guitar for several British rock groups. He was a founding member of Argent, which was led by his cousin Rod Argent.
