The band entered the studio in October 1968 and the work was produced by Guy Stevens, broadly as straightforward sets with a few overdubs, on a budget of circa £800. Kossoff used a sunburst Les Paul & a black custom 3-pick-up Les Paul. Fraser used a Gibson EB.
