Learning - Aiglon College redefines the traditional school experience. Our classroom extends beyond our campus buildings to also embrace the mountain and sports pitch. Students can study the IB Diploma, IGCSE as well achieve a high school diploma.
Location. Aiglon College is located at an elevation of 1,250 metres above sea level, in a beautiful and natural setting of the alpine village of Chesières, near the ski resort of Villars, in the canton of Vaud, in the western part of Switzerland. When John Corlette founded Aiglon College in 1949, he had a unique vision: to combine the special character of mountain life with a new vision for education. Aiglon today guards this original vision and has grown into one of the world’s most distinctive boarding schools.
The stop for Aiglon is called Chesières-Aiglon College and is next to the school. The bus journey takes about 30 minutes. Swiss railways use an integrated ticketing system. You can buy a ticket from Geneva Airport to Aiglon which is valid for both bus and train. All visitors must check in at our main reception in Chalet Forbes.
The Working Day. Routine is an important part of a healthy and balanced lifestyle. Every day at Aiglon follows a similar structure and is balanced around the working school timetable as well as evening and weekend activities. A normal day has seven academic periods, beginning with meditation or assembly, a morning break time and lunch.
