A violent fight ensues, to the horror of Schindler, Johanna, and their 8-year-old son Karl ( Matthew North ). When Ludwig leaves, Caspar is profusely coughing up blood, and in fact dies a few months later. At the interment, Ludwig remarks to Shindler that Johanna seems to be seeing another man already.
