Central's BA (Hons) Acting (Musical Theatre) degree course provides you with the skills to work in classical and contemporary theatre, musicals, feature film, television and radio. Throughout the course, you will explore acting through a range of contemporary approaches to sung and spoken voice, movement and dance.
Central's History. A short note by Professor Simon Shepherd, Professor Emeritus of Theatre. Elsie Fogerty founded The Central School of Speech Training and Dramatic Art at the Royal Albert Hall in 1906. Fogerty was a specialist in speech training. She also had a firm belief in the social importance of education.
Central offers three intensive acting courses delivering a complete vocational actor training, each with a different specialist focus and leading to the award of BA (Hons) Acting.
